Teachers:  These links lead to the main pages of the software mentioned in my technology workshop.  All software downloaded from these sites has been determined (by me) to be useful, stable, and virus/spyware free.  (Just make sure you uncheck any extra software offered during the install.)
 
LinkMy Description
Talking Alarm ClockAn organizational necessity.  Get those kids going where they need to go without stressing yourself out trying to remember it all.
The Hat
A random name picker that can also randomly pick pairs.  It has an option to save lists.
VLC Media PlayerVideo player that plays almost any video file type.  It isn't bloated with loads of extra junk like Windows Media Player or iTunes.  It is easy to use, and it loads super fast.
openoffice.orgOffice software that is compatible with Microsoft Office Files.  Includes a document editor (Writer), a spreadsheet editor (Calc), and a slideshow creator (Impress).  This software is a necessity if you don't have MS Office installed on your computer.
The GimpPowerful image editor.  A nice alternative to Adobe Photoshop.
FastStone Image ViewerA quick image viewer with more options than the one built into Windows.
KompozerThis is the best free web page designing software there is.  This whole site is maintained using Kompozer.
